 Here‘s what we‘ll do... 

 

  • Checking Compatibility.

    • It can be installed in place of an existing thermostat or act as a wireless sensor and remote control.

  • Connecting the Bridge. 

    • The Bridge is the intermediary device between the Computer Servers and the Smart Thermostat as well as the Extension Box. 

    • It is connected to a router via an ethernet cable and communicates wirelessly with the Smart Thermostat and the Extension Box.

  • Wiring

    • The Smart Thermostat supports both 230V and extra low voltage interfaces.

    • The wiring diagram shows the wiring for the relay operation.

    • Replacing a Relay Thermostat.

    • COM and NO (and NC if present in the current thermostat) are to be connected.

    • Potential Free Wiring Connection: The power supply is separated from the relays. This wiring option is to connect low voltage single relays. If a UK standard backplate is present some rewiring might be required.

    • Switched Live: This wiring option corresponds to a 230V dual relay programmer. If a UK standard backplate is present and wired as a 230V dual relay (central heating and hot water) the Extension Box can simply be mounted on the existing backplate and does not require any rewiring.

  • Activating and Pairing

    • Activating The Smart Thermostat is activated by removing the blue paper tab from the battery compartment on the back of the Smart Thermostat.

    • Pairing devices have to be paired before usage. It is a one time key­exchange between the units and ensure safe communication between them. The pairing requires three steps for each device

  • Configuring

    • Before smart thermostat can be used, it has to be configured on the Smart Thermostat. This includes setting the correct interface configuration and the hot water settings.

  • Testing

    • After installation a test of the heating system is essential. This includes testing the heating in both directions by increasing the desired temperature, waiting for a few minutes for the boiler to fire up and then decreasing the desired temperature and waiting for a few minutes for the boiler to stop firing.

  • Smart Thermostat installed by a professional.

  • You'll also have the peace of mind of knowing that they've been installed properly.

  • We´ll also visually inspect any other gas appliances for safety.

  • It doesn´t include Congestion charge, parking.
